ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed on Tuesday
said that he is still willing to submit his resignation, but
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has advised him to wait for a period of one week.
Talking to a press conference, AML chief said that it does not matter whether he resigns from the parliament or not as his resignation holds no significance.
Sheikh Rasheed also
said his Dubai visit, which was for a fund raising campaign, has stirred a lot of talk in
Pakistan, while he
also lashed out at
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shahbaz and Nawaz Sharif calling them ‘thieves’.
“I went to Dubai for a fund raising campaign because Imran asked me. There has been a lot of talk about that. I can tell you that Shahbaz is a bigger thief than Nawaz,”
said Sheikh Rasheed.
Refering to the war o
f words between PML-N leaders Chaudhry Nisar and Pervaiz Rasheed, th
e AML spearhead
said that he had never thought Rasheed would ridicule Nisar.
Sheikh Rasheed had announced resignation from his seat in the National Assembly during
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT)’s joint protest rally on Mall Road.
