DUBAI: Pakistan scored 150/5 wickets in their 20 overs against Australia in the third and last T20 match of the series.
It was a fine start for Pakistan in the powerplay at 54/0. They had a superb opening partnership of 93, with Babar Azam bringing up his fourth fifty in the last five matches, and Sahibzada Farhan playing a handy foil.
But Australia picked wickets regularly thereafter, preventing them from running away in the last five overs. The visitors have failed to chase down similar scores and have already lost the series,
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first in the third and final Twenty20 international against Australia in Dubai on Sunday.
Pakistan lead the series 2-0, rested opener Fakhar Zaman and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, bringing in Sahibzada Farhan and Usman Shinwari.
Australia brought in off-spinner Nathan Lyon in place of seamer Billy Stanlake.
Pakistan have not lost a Twenty20 game in the shortest format since Sarfraz Ahmed became captain. If Pakistan wins today’s game, it will be the first time they have whitewashed Australia in a limited-overs series longer than two games.
