CHITRAL: Police arrested an alleged eve-teaser from Chitral city, who was accused of forcing a college girl to commit suicide, official sources said on Saturday.
They said that one Tahira, a college student, had registered a complaint about a year ago against Dedar Ali accusing him of teasing her on her way to home. Police then had lodged cases against the alleged eve-teaser under section 354 and 506 of the law. Local people said that the woman ate poison on Friday to end her life. She had lost hope as the police failed to arrest the accused even after the passage of a year, they said. On the complaint of the relatives, Mastuj police arrested the accused and registered a case against him under section 32 of the law.
